Pinball M - The Thing (Dread Challenge)
With a well-prepared sequence of modes (and a great showing in accuracy in scoring from them), games can last quite a while here. Fortunately, mode stacking is possible for the most part, and luck can be a big factor if the snowstorm ends up being worthwhile to play out.
Dread is the return of Survival from FX3, but with a slight twist -- each score marker adds a minute to the remaining time, instead of resetting to 60 seconds for each requirement.

One of the rare cases where the upper playfield isn't important for getting big scores, but can be reliable in getting a ball back on a flipper. You'd think we'd be on a spherical (SPHERICAL!) shape for this twist on the Minesweeper game. Madness ended up eating my remaining multiplier during the attempt before this (Half Joker). Frankly, it failed to account for the credit card, and I'm off that train. Remember the Survival mode from FX3? This is nothing like that, but you'll find something similar in Dread. The difference here? Your score bleeds and gets more severe every second; last as long as you can before your score hits 0. Mysterious Island is slowly becoming more in my favor among the best of Zen's original themes. This, alongside Samurai's Vengeance, make a very strong set of originals. Don't look like you're trying to keep your distance, though. If this game's multiball heavy, scoring-wise, be prepared to conserve as much as you can when going for these modes. Turns out RPM stacks well with main modes, and can score decently well on its own, otherwise! Accuracy is key to big scores, nonetheless. We're going to try this out, combining with the standard mode (and something we all would like to see make it into FX) - darkened/adjustable lighting! One of my favorites out of all of the legacy originals, upgraded with the new physics model. Multiball can become lucrative if stacked on top of modes, but Gauntlet Multiball is tedious to activate compared to Monument. Line clears here function differently here, such that they're immediately cleared once all tiles are correctly identified. A bit disorienting, since runs can end accidentally through a misclicked mine. The fundamentals are mostly the same as normal Tetris, however clear 40 lines as fast as you can. Really nice playing, crazy high score. I'm playing this table in FX myself now, in classic mode with realistic physics, and find the game really nasty. Ball control is insanely difficult, as the slingshots tend to make the ball go nuts, with a really high probability of outlanes and center drains, and not many safe chances to get live catches. Maybe it's just a skill/table knowledge issue, as I'm fairly new to it. How do you feel this table in FX with classic, realistic settings compares to how you played it for this video? I don't have White Water in FX3.
White Water is a brutal game out in the real world, too, and compared to FX3, it's a different feeling in FX. Similar enough between the two, but I'm preferring the feeling in FX since the physics in FX3 can be unrefined. FX still needs improvements here and there, but it's a game actively in development and I wouldn't call that finished just yet.

I can also see how functionally this can be real but i feel like instead of the goak side kickers its a backless section that drops on a ramp that when vibrated it triggers the missed kick gone wide audio and what not

This should have been a remake of the Duke Nukem table from Balls of Steel rather than a completely new one, but oh well.

Beginner, normally, is 9x9 with 10 mines. The game itself is very easy to learn, by comparison. I, too, once didn't understand how to play as you do now. Wasn't until DemonCrawl when I figured things out, along with the help of really good players.
